What stays on your phone

Your destination, dates and written memories are saved on your device. TTC does not receive them, and they are not shared with another person.

When you use the web app

The TTC web app uses secure account sign-in, so TTC does not create or store another password. The destination and dates you deliberately save on the web are stored against a private site-specific account identifier so you can reach them from another computer after signing in.

Your web trips are not copied into the iPhone app automatically, and TTC does not store passport, booking or payment details.

Web-account records remain until you delete an individual trip or the whole web account, or until TTC lawfully retires the service after giving reasonable notice where possible.

Optional mobile verification

If this option is available to you, TTC sends a short-lived code to the Australian mobile number you enter. Your mobile carrier helps deliver the message.

TTC keeps only the protected verification record and the final four digits of the number. It does not keep the code in readable form. You can remove the verified mobile, include its verification details in your account download, or remove it by deleting the web account.

Mobile verification is for account security, not marketing.

Simple by design

The first app starts with only the details you choose to type. It does not contact anyone, send invitations or make bookings for you.

When you look for a stay

If you choose the Trip.com link, Trip.com opens and handles the search, booking, payment and travel support under its own privacy rules. TTC may receive a commission for an eligible booking, without adding a TTC booking fee.

Removing your information

You can remove the iPhone app and its saved information through your iPhone settings. In the web app, you can remove one trip or a verified mobile, download an export, or delete the TTC web account and all its trips and verification records yourself.

Deleting your TTC web account does not delete the separate account you used to sign in.
